There is a CPAI-75 safety coating on the outer shell which meets or exceeds US standards for fire retardant. This sleeping bag will not catch fire but melt in accordance with US law in the event of a fire emergency.
The fabric used to make this sleeping bag is 190T which is a strong but flexible rip-resistant bright and vibrant colored polyester.
